Best Realtors in Cranston, Calgary: How to Choose

Published October 19, 2026 · Last reviewed October 19, 2026 · By Jason Todd, Calgary REALTOR® · Cranston

The short answer. A good Cranston realtor can tell Riverstone valley lots from ridge and Fish Creek edges, and can explain the mandatory Cranston Residents Association fee. Most of the community is resale now, so nearby solds matter more than a city average. Cranston sold 386 homes from October 19, 2025 through October 15, 2026. I live next door in McKenzie Towne.

I list and sell in southeast Calgary with Standard Realty Co. If you are choosing a Cranston realtor, skip the ranking badge. Ask who works this community, who can put matching solds on the table, and who still answers the phone after the sign goes up.

My Cranston track record

The MLS® sold file I can show from 2021 onward has 0 Cranston files with my name on them. I live in McKenzie Towne, next door. I will not invent a Cranston count. What I can put on the table is the 386 Cranston solds from the last 12 months, and how I would price your house from the ones that match it.

The Jason Todd Realtor Google profile is 5.0 from 54 reviews (last counted September 2026).

What a good Cranston realtor should know

1. Ridge, park, and interior lots. A house backing Fish Creek or the river valley is not the same sale as an interior street. If an agent prices them as one pool, keep walking.

2. The residents' association fee. Cranston’s RA is mandatory. Riverstone is a different tier than the rest of the community. Confirm the current amount on the title you are buying or listing — do not guess from a blog.

3. The phases. Older Cranston and the newer south side do not compete as one blob. Riverstone opened later in the valley. Same type still has to match garage, size, and street story.

4. The commute at the hour you drive. Deerfoot Trail and Stoney Trail are the exits. “Twenty minutes downtown” is not useful at 7:45 a.m.

Living in Cranston

Carma (now Brookfield) started Cranston in 1999 on former farmland, bounded by Stoney Trail, Deerfoot Trail, and the Bow River valley, with Fish Creek Provincial Park on the edge. About 20,850 people lived here at the 2021 census. Riverstone sits down in the valley. The community is mostly built out, so inventory is resale.

Schools. Cranston School (CBE, K–4), Sibylla Kiddle School (CBE, K–5), Dr. George Stanley School (CBE, Grades 5–9), Christ the King (Calgary Catholic, K–9), and Our Lady of the Rosary (Catholic elementary). Joane Cardinal-Schubert High School is next door in Seton. Designations move — check the boards.

Parks and rec. Fish Creek and the Bow River pathways on the edge. Century Hall is the RA centre — gym, courts, rink, splash park. Confirm what the current fee actually covers.

Shopping. Cranston Market (Sobeys). Seton shops, restaurants, and Cineplex sit across Deerfoot Trail.

Hospital. South Health Campus in Seton, across Deerfoot Trail — a short drive, 24-hour emergency.

Getting around. Local buses. BRT Route 302 downtown from the McKenzie Towne terminal and from South Health Campus. Deerfoot and Stoney are the road exits.

Three questions to ask any Cranston realtor

1. How do homes in my part of Cranston sell against Riverstone and the streets closest to Fish Creek?

2. Show me matching solds from the last six months — same type, close in size, same garage story, sold vs original list. That is the method.

3. Who picks up after the listing goes live — showings, offers, conditions, possession?

How I help if you buy or sell here

I live in McKenzie Towne. Selling, I price from recent solds that match the house, then market it like a Cranston listing — not generic southeast Calgary. Start on sell a home in Cranston. Buying, I will tell you which street and which product actually fit the budget before you write an offer. Live inventory: Cranston homes for sale.

Jason's Take

Pick the agent who can talk Cranston streets without a script, who will price from last winter’s solds, and who will not inflate a file count. I live in McKenzie Towne. Call if you want that walk-through on your house.
